By car: 
<br>From the Brooklyn Battery (toll) Tunnel, <br>use a right-hand toll lane<br>
and take the next-to-the-right lane after the tolls and take the "Exit Only"<br>
lane for Exit 26, Hamilton Avenue.  Stay/bear left down the exit ramp and go<br>
left under the highway (Stay to the right of the supports that divide the<br>
road!) where you will be facing/about to cross Hamilton Avenue.  Clinton<br>
Street is diagonally to your left, between Hamilton on the hard left and<br>
Huntington to the right.  Go into Clinton street and continue on Clinton<br>
through 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Places to Carroll Street.  Turn right where<br>
you will usually find a parking place available.<br><br><br>

 From the Brooklyn, Williamsburg or Manhattan Bridges, Queens, or Long
Island, <br>
head S/W on the Brooklyn/Queens Expressway (BQE/278), towards the<br>
Verrazano Bridge.  Stay in the center lane until Exit 26 to avoid getting<br>
caught up in the left and right exits-only.  It is then the exact same exit<br>
and procedure as above because the BQE merges with the tunnel exit and the<br>
Gowanus Expressway just before that point.

From Staten Island, <br>
take the Verrazano Bridge to the Brooklyn Queens<br>
Expressway toward the Battery Tunnel.  Do not stay left for the Tunnel but<br>
take the Hamilton Avenue Exit 26.  At the bottom of the exit ramp move right<br>
immediately into either lane and make the right curve onto Hicks Street.<br>
Make the first immediate right onto Rapelye Street and the first immediate<br>
left onto 3rd Place.  Take the first left onto Clinton Street and continue 3<br>
blocks to Carroll Street.<br>

There should be no problem finding a nearby space.
